Whether you’re a tent lover or can’t live without your RV, you don’t have to travel far to find it near Pekin. Fort Crevecoeur Park and Campground is just 10 minutes from Pekin and offers water and electric hookups, a dump station, and an area for primitive camping. It’s also the site of 16th-century Fort Crevecoeur — history buffs will love this location. Another great tent campground is Delwood Camp at McNaughton Park. Restrooms are available near the campgrounds, but you’ll need to bring your own drinking water.
