Pekin hits a home run in every category! It shows in how fast our youth travel sports events grown. Just this past year, Pekin hosted more than 80 soccer teams from premier clubs across the Midwest, as well as baseball and softball tournaments! Pekin also hosted hockey tournaments at Veterans Memorial Arena, ice skating competitions, tennis matches, and more!

Professional sports tournaments are welcome in Pekin. Sunset Hills Disc Golf Course and McNaughton Park’s Disc Golf Course are two of 12 Central Illinois courses featured in the annual Ledgestone Open. This professional disc golf tournament has grown to massive proportions in the last few years with more than 2,000 participants registered in 2021 from all around the world.
