Pekin has numerous sports fields and courts that are open for public play. Make your way over to Mineral Springs Park for basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, sand volleyball courts, and a rollerblade park. Check out Veterans Memorial Arena for open ice times for skating and hockey. Stop by the Pekin Park Sports Complex on Koch Street for open soccer fields, football fields, more baseball and softball fields, and a one-mile walking track. Pekin Memorial Stadium, located next to Mineral Springs Park, is also open to the public when high school practices aren’t in session. Many locals head here to take advantage of the track and open fields for a fun workout or change in routine.
