Patriotic Celebrations in Pekin!
Celebrate America 250 in the Marigold City! Pekin will host a variety of special events year-round to honor America’s history. From live music ringing with patriotic tunes to the loud booms — and subsequent “oohs” and “aahs” — of the 4th of July Honor America Celebration, discover the many incredible ways Pekin commemorates the birth of our country and the freedoms we enjoy 250 years later.
What is America 250?
Organized by an act of Congress, America 250 is a nonpartisan organization that aims to engage Americans in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the country’s independence. For more information or to see events across the country, visit America250.org.

America’s 250th Celebration Patriotic Concert
July 5 @ 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Steven D. Skinner Performing Arts Venue
Come and celebrate as the Pekin Park Concert Band pays tribute to America’s 250th anniversary by performing your favorite patriotic pieces. We are also excited to welcome the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team, who will present the colors at this special concert.
